this is a story only getting scant attention so far by major news channels, but the pope is coming and he might have an impact on the pennsylvania primary.
the state of pennsylvania has a large catholic population and even though the most recent polls suggest a tight race between hillary and obama, the pope might change this trajectory.
obama's speech I think titled "a more perfect union" was in my opinion rudely shoved in our faces. i think america had been doing fairly well in matters of race relations and was making honest attempts at addressing concerns about race with civility and laughs all thanks to american idol. the show has been prophetic in the way it has brought people of all stripes together at a most critical stage in american history, namely after 911-and we've enjoyed it.
long before obama and his pastor reminded everyone of how we weren't getting along, american idol week after week reminded us of how we were getting along. things were fine until obama appointed himself healer of america's "birth defect" as condi rice put it-as if no one had taken the reins and tried to do this already. if fact racism has been dealt with on american idol in a most effective way, reaching millions around the world.
yes, american idol is better at healing racial wounds than obama's overrated speech which comes a bit late in inviting us all to an open and honest discussion of race. american idol beat him to this.
when i first started watching the show, i used to wonder whether simon, paula and randy could be fair judging contestants which came in all the colors of the rainbow without being accused of racism. to my surprise, they have been quite good at being fair. However, race has at times becomes an issue.
this long list of lies by obama actually-once you've gone through the entire thing- produces a trancelike state. it reads like a chant or prayer and you find yourself fully absorbed in it.
the lies ironically reveal truth. the truth about obama leads to liberation from obama.
i recommend you read the long list and don't forget to light a candle and sit on a cushion.
i also wish every obama supporter enlightenment and freedom from the chains of ignorance.
obama's father we all know abandoned him when he was around two. what a creep, right? well, he must have had his reasons for being such a lousy father. perhaps his own father was a jerk as well.
it is noted in psychiatry that these less than noble character flaws tend to be a vicious cycle in families until broken. i think obama is caught in the cycle. how do i know?
we are witnessing obama's weaknesses in character already. he is less than truthful and is a mysogynist. he has made sexist remarks about his opponent. he has used language to degrade hillary as a woman..."she tends to periodically feel down," and then there was the "claw" comment to mention a few.
these comments were/are tasteless, especially from the senator who claims to be above it all.
but awful as his behavior has been, i don't hold it against obama. i think i understand from the article i have linked below where these crude comments stem from. it turns out that obama's kenyan dad was not anything like obama described him in his book, Dreams of My Father. In reality he was pretty darn awful.
my reaction to the tuzla-gate event is that it is a non-event. hillary responded well to the commotion with a chuckle similar to the smirks obama gives us when asked about rev.wright and rezko. at least hillary has a more to answer for because obama has such a barren resume. this will die away if hasn't already unless of course the overly stimulated obama supporters continue the need to salivate over this triviality as they are conditioned or trained to do so.
go here for an excellent response to hillary's non-event.
interesting info i came across...
obama met and had lunch with Arafat advisor edward said...and had this to say when approached by a palestinian activist Abunimah
Palestinian activist and Islamist Ali Abunimah, who was a close friend of Obama's, attended an Arab fundraiser at which the late Edward Said--plagiarist, fabricator, and prominent PLO/Arafat advisor--was the keynote speaker, and at which the Obamas were notably in attendance. Pictures on Abunimah's site, posted above, show Obama and wife, Michelle, sitting next to Said and engaging in conversation. Abunimah, in a must-read article, says the Senator has since "changed" his proclaimed views from those he expressed privately, in order to get Jewish donors and votes.
the problem is not so much obama engaging with arabs and discussing critical issues concerning the problems in the middle east but its the GAMES he plays with jewish voters. in this next example he is clear as to why he refrained from being "more outspoken" about israel during this particular illinois race. you can read it yourself
why didn't obama propose a bill in the illinois legislature to stop hate speech at his trinity church? im just wondering. I mean, he has sensitivity toward ugly speech as he demonstrated when he called for imus to be fired and had strong words for trent lott.
im not being cute about this.
on another note: i am not supporting obama as a hispanic voter just because that other hispanic (bill something) endorsed obama. my vote is not that easy to win. all my family feels this way as well.
GO HILLARY!!!
I think obama has much more to offer this country. he has managed in just a short time as a senator and state legislator to entangle himself in serious controversies. this is hard to do, and only a man as gifted as obama could accomplish so much in so little time. what's next?
We have had the privilege of witnessing the hard-working media(not), mostly of the conservative bent, to unveil for us so many entertaining political obama goof-ups. i can hardly wait to see what the senator can accomplish when the most powerful job in the world is given to him by the american people. I can hardly wait for him to become CEO of this great nation.
Let's see, we've been privy to nafta-gate, reszko, michelle's talents at complaining, rev. wright, and a possible indirect link with Hamas (benign link? this is yet to be determined).
Because obama is so generous, some of his stronger comments in the past regarding race matters are resurfacing now and are being analyzed for public consumption. they demonstrate a study at hypocrisy, but because they are from obama's mouth, the word hypocrisy seems a bit strong. we can all feel better if we use softer language like "inconsistency", but even this seems harsh. what about boo-boo?
